More U.S. Children Living in Poverty, But Fewer Lack Health Coverage

The number of children living in poverty grew by 4.5 million from 2008 to 2010, but the rate of uninsured children fell to 8.5% during the same period, according to a new report. The state-by-state analysis found that, while the percentage of children covered by private insurance dropped, increases in public coverage more than offset these declines in most states.
