Elizabeth Eguía-García hired as new Executive Director of the Maestro Entrepreneur Center!

The Maestro Entrepreneur Center (MEC) in partnership with the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce hired Elizabeth (Elí) Eguía-García as the executive director of MEC and the Vice President of Small Business at the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce on June 19, 2017.

Elizabeth comes from a long line of entrepreneurs in her family. Her grandmother, aunts, uncles and parents were all small business owners.

In reflection, Elizabeth brings to light on her family’s history by stating: “My  family’s story motivates me to be of service to our small business owners through the Maestro Entrepreneur Center. After 20 years of professional fundraising and public relations work, I’m grateful for the opportunity to step forward in advocacy for small business owners in our community.”

 Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Arts from Our Lady of the Lake University and a Master of Arts from St. Mary’s University. She has worked in the nonprofit sector for both public and private organizations. She is a graduate of the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government’s Executive Leadership Program, and the National Hispana Leadership Institute’s Executive Leadership Fellowship.
