Dear Hispanic Chamber Familia,

The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is at a dynamic point in our history to continue to evolve our mission and expand services for our valued members through programming and advocacy.  Our Chamber prides itself on the cultivation of new leaders and propelling the professional identity of its staff and entire network through synergetic collaborations and strong determination to define Hispanic opportunity.

After four years of working at the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, I have learned so much and done so many things that I would have never imagined.  Our leadership is pivotal in expanding our efforts for our beloved organization and allowing our team to represent our members at multiple levels.  I have to say, that throughout my career, this is the organization that I have been the most passionate about, that I feel strongly defending, and that I whole handedly believe in.  The legacy that our Chamber has at all levels in society is huge and has great growth potential.  I further affirm my belief in our leadership to carry our mission forward.  I have learned so much from them and their respective professional characters that I will carry with me throughout the rest of my career and personal life.

After four amazing years as your Vice President of Government Affairs, together we have advocated for issues affecting us at home and abroad.  Our joint success related to binational trade, multi-modal transportation, economic development, healthcare access, immigration, and strong diplomacy abroad are only a few strong issues that I had the privilege of working on during my tenure here. As the Chamber continues to evolve, so do we as individuals in our professional career.  Effective September 19, 2017 the evolution of my career has called me to work for Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages as their Senior Manager of Public Affairs and Communication overseeing their operations in Central and South Texas. I am honored to go work for one of the Hispanic Chamber’s Corporate Members and for this unique opportunity. I look forward to staying involved and engaged with the Hispanic Chamber in my new role.

Although my time here has been short, I hope that my contributions have made some impact to move the Chamber in a positive direction.  The strongarm of this organization lies in its ability to advocate for the Hispanic community. That driving force will continue to propel the Chamber to do great things for our respective constituencies.

Thank you for this great opportunity to serve you our members, for believing in me, for always encouraging me, and for keeping the spirit of family among our Chamber.  This time in my career will never be forgotten.  I take with me a huge part of this organization, rooted in co-workers who have become close friends, a strong legacy that defines what Hispanic opportunity is all about, and a new sense of graceful leadership exemplified by you our members, our Board of Directors, and our fearless president Ramiro A. Cavazos.

As we transition, I am confident that the next wave of leadership will be strong and continue to build upon our current foundation of values and mission.  Please know that I wish to stay involved and in touch with everyone; to contact me please email me at LeRoyC@crstrategygroup.com.

Wishing the Hispanic Chamber familia all the best. Que Dios los bendiga y que El cuide de nuestra Cámara de Comercio Hispana tan adorada.

Adelanté, Juntos podemos más!

C. LeRoy Cavazos-Reyna
