A Little About The Job…

  • Actively inspire confidence and creates trust between team members
    • Demonstrate thorough understanding of tactics used in the department and actively mentors team members in full understanding of tactics
    • Effectively manage & mentor team members so they can be successful and grow with the company
    • Conduct performance review to inspire learning & development
    • Participate in new business development process (proposal development, pitching, etc.) and act as a resource for business development team
    • Share and provide successful strategy ideas with department and agency as a whole
    • Spearhead client strategy planning
    • Take ownership over all accounts assigned to team and actively directs team members in client services
    • Consistently offer ideas and suggestions for improving company strategies and internal policies
    • Regularly secure media hits locally, regionally, and nationally
    • Regularly plan and implement successful media or special events and oversee team members implementation
    • Continuously build and maintain extensive network of industry contacts, editorial, and promotional contacts, including national contacts
    • Lead team building activities and encourage team to interact with other groups
    • Meet with team members on a regular basis to set and review goals
    • Act as a spokesperson for team members within the organization and manage team members’ expectations regarding promotions, raises, bonuses, etc.

    • Able to understand statistical and financial data and perform analyses to determine courses of action
    • Demonstrate exceptional writing, editing, organization, and proofreading skills with minimal to no edits
    • Demonstrate excellent client and media relations skills
    • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills: juggles multiple tasks at one time, is able to prioritize and meet deadlines, and presents project status to agency when applicable
    • Proficient using appropriate software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Cision, Google Suite, etc.)
    • Work well independently and collaboratively with team members
    • Solve problems effectively, efficiently, and creatively
    • Strive to set and achieve personal objectives and goals
    • Works to understand client’s industry, terminology and competitive set

What It Takes…

  • 6+ years agency experience
    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or related field
