InGenesis is fastest-growing healthcare staffing company in the U.S.
InGenesis continued its five-year string of impressive showings on the annual Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing independent companies. The year’s just-released list, published by Inc. magazine, places the company as the highest-ranked healthcare staffing firm for the second consecutive year. InGenesis also ranks as the No. 1 minority-owned healthcare company based in Texas, and the No. 2 minority-owned company of any kind in the state.
In addition, earlier in August, Hispanic Business placed InGenesis at No. 5 among America’s top 100 fastest-growing Hispanic-owned businesses. Hispanic Business editors noted the company’s five-year growth rate of almost 2,400 percent.
With an overall ranking of 342 on this year’s Inc. list of the 5,000 fastest-growing independent businesses, InGenesis has made the prestigious list every year since 2008, when the company was ranked No. 2,027 overall.
“Our rapid growth over the past several years puts the company on a solid footing to evolve and move boldly into a range of new markets,” said company founder Veronica Edwards, InGenesis President and CEO. “We expect our growth will keep us on the list for some time to come.”
Edwards noted that InGenesis recently earned the largest contract in the company’s 14-year history. That contract and other new business will add substantially to the company’s annual revenue, which exceeded $57 million in 2011, she said.
InGenesis provides healthcare management and staffing solutions to government, education and corporate clients in 40 states. Veronica Edwards established the company in San Antonio in 1998. InGenesis was named the fifth-fastest growing inner city-based company in America this year by the Institute for a Competitive Inner City. InGenesis is a Small Business Administration-certified 8(a) contractor and woman-owned small business, and a State of Texas-certified historically underutilized business (HUB).
