Nation’s Largest Hispanic Chamber to Host Discussion on Current State of American Politics and Policy with Matthew Dowd, Dr. Theriault, and Former Obama White House Staffer

September 21, 2021 (SAN ANTONIO, TX) – The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SAHCC) will present “Politics and Policy in the Biden Era” via Zoom on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, from 12:00 – 1:00 pm CST.

The event will feature two dynamic panelists: author and news analyst, Matthew Dowd, and Dr. Sean Theriault, distinguished teaching professor in the Government Department at the University of Texas. Ximena Gonzalez Rojas, former Chief of Staff for Executive Personnel under President Barack Obama, will moderate the discussion.

The SAHCC began the year advocating for local business owners during the Texas State Legislative Session and will continue that support amid ongoing Federal Legislative efforts. Chambers across the U.S. have historically journeyed to Washington, D.C. to advocate in person, but due to the recent COVID-19 surge, such advocacy trips have been cancelled. The SAHCC is proud to advocate and be a part of the conversation through a virtual format.

Panelists Dowd and Theriault will discuss the current state of our democracy, polarization in the U.S. Electorate, and the status of the Biden agenda.

The cost to attend is $15 for members and $25 for non-members. The link to register for the event can be found here. Sponsorship opportunities are available at the link or by contacting events@sahcc.org.
