Hispanic Chamber Board of Directors Votes to Support The Alamo Promise

The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the first Hispanic Chamber in America, representing more than 1,250 businesses in the greater San Antonio area, fully supports the Alamo Colleges’ Alamo Promise initiative to provide the first two years of college, at little to no cost, for eligible San Antonio and Bexar County students seeking associate degrees, transfer, certifications and/or job training.

“We are proud to partner with the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to improve the lives of residents in our area and provide them the means, through education at one of our colleges, to achieve social mobility and economic prosperity for themselves and their families,” said Alamo Colleges Chancellor Dr. Mike Flores. “We are especially grateful to them for their unstinting support of our AlamoPROMISE initiative which, will make a college education possible for so many more in our community,” he added.  The Hispanic Chamber will collaborate with the Alamo Colleges to advocate to provide adequate resources and education on said endeavor.
