As part of the Hispanic Chamber’s Economic Development initiatives the Economic Development Committee has implemented a “2014 Speakers Series”. It it our honor and privilege to welcome Ray Lopez, Councilman, District 6 for the City of San Antonio to our June meeting. Councilman Lopez will be addressing a group of approximately 35 committee members to discuss important issues related to transportation as he currently Chair’s the City’s Metropolitan Planning Organization Transportation Policy Board. Furthermore, he will discuss important measures that the City is taking to enhance infrastructure in District 6 and across our city.
As part of this committee the Chamber has three sub-committees one that concentrates on Workforce Capacity, another on Utilities and Infrastructure, and one on Early Childhood Education. All sub-committees are critical to developing the necessary dialogue around a skilled workforce and the continued expansion of economic development at multiple levels. The Hispanic Chamber looks forward to Councilman Lopez’s visit and remarks as we engage key stakeholders and propel forward with our Economic Development Committee initiatives.
