Hispanic Chamber Supports Rideshare in San Antonio

On Wednesday, February 25, 2015 the Board of Directors of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SAHCC) voted to support a recommendation to City Council that rideshare companies should remain a permanent alternative transportation option in San Antonio.

“We strongly believe that rideshare companies offer a safe, reliable, affordable and innovative transportation option that embraces new technologies,” said Ramiro Cavazos, Hispanic Chamber President and CEO. “Rideshare is essential to the progress of San Antonio as an up and coming world-class city.”

As San Antonio’s leading small business advocate, the Hispanic Chamber strongly believes that the City of San Antonio should embrace policies in support of entrepreneurship, ridesharing and welcome these new technological advances to San Antonio in order to combat drunk driving, reduce road congestion, make a positive impact on the environment, and improve public safety and transportation options in our community.
