Chief Economic Development Officer José María González leaving Hispanic Chamber to Start Own Business!

Effective March 1, 2019, José María González will be departing the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as the Chief Economic Development Officer to start his own business venture consulting that will advise private & public corporations on international and economic development matters.

As the Chief Economic Development Officer, González led International Relations, Economic Development, and Small Business initiatives for the Hispanic Chamber, as well as supported Corporate Membership Business Development and Retention.

“I depart the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce with a tremendous sense of appreciation to our members and the entire team, the Hispanic Chamber has its brightest years still ahead,” said González. “I look forward to this new venture as an entrepreneur following my passion and providing assistance and support to others; I will remain very engage with the organization.”

A graduate of the University of the Incarnate Word and the Francisco de Vitoria University in Madrid, Spain, González has championed international business for the San Antonio community for the past decade.
