BID PROJECT | UT HEALTH GENERATOR, SWITCHGEAR & ELECTRICAL ROOM
Phase 1 Scope of work
Contractor to provide and install: The rebar and concrete; walls, doors, ceiling, and corrugated metal finishes; new lights, plugs, wiring; relocation of existing lights, conduits, and wiring required to install ceiling and ducting; fan coil unit supply and return ducting, and penetration dimensions.
Owner to provide and install: All structural members and finished galvanized corrugated decking. All railing. All structural penetration framing. All Fan Coil Unit chilled water piping and controls.
Scheduling: Final construction of levels 2A and 2B will commence after the switchgear is selected, submittals are approved, and the dimensions of conductor termination areas are known. The support I-beams can be placed to accommodate bottom entering conduits. Penetrations will be completed after fire damper submittal approval and ducting dimensions are finalized.
1. All work necessary for the Installation of rebar and the pouring of concrete on levels 2A and 2B as shown, scheduled, indicated and as specified.
A. Coordinate with owner on the final location of Phase 2 selected Switchgear cabinets.
B. Coordinate with Owner for any structural requirements regarding Phase 2 generator conduit penetrations and Type of Penetration on level 2A (Conduit or junction box).
A. Coordinate with Owner for any structural requirements regarding Phase 2 cable tray penetration on level 2B
B. Inspection of corrugated metal decking and metal framed penetrations installed by Owner prior to installing rebar. Provide a list of deficiencies to Owner for further evaluation.
2. All work necessary to install supply and return air ducting for level 2A Fan Coil Units E1A8 and E1A9, and Supply air ducting on AHU MA2A16 as shown, scheduled, indicated and as specified. Work includes:
A. Coordinate with owner regarding the final locations of Fan Coil Unit supply and return air duct penetrations on level 2B.
B. Coordinate with Owner for providing dimensional requirements regarding installation of fire dampers in duct penetration on level 2B.
C. Remove and reinstall supply and return air temperature devises in new ducting.
D. Install supply and return air ducting as shown on drawings
3. All work necessary to construct Electrical room as shown, scheduled, indicated and as specified.
A. Construction of two hour fire rated perimeter walls and ceiling. Installation of doors and hardware, and installation of corrugated metal panels.
B. New conduit, wiring, plugs, lights and switches.
C. Relocation of existing conduit, wiring, plugs, lights and switches necessary to install ceiling.
D. Installation of all-thread components necessary to support conduits related to Phase 2.
4. All work necessary for the installation of fire suppression system as shown, scheduled, indicated and as specified.
A. To avoid installation from interfering with future work, all fire line piping routes must be approved by owner prior to installation.
1. All work necessary to provide finished areas to install concrete as shown, scheduled, indicated and as specified.
A. Provide and install all materials necessary to construct the flooring supports for levels 2A and 2B. Work will include the finished installation of galvanized corrugated metal decking and 4” to 6” angle iron framing supports for penetrations and around perimeter where necessary.
B. Owner will place floor I-Beams to best align conduits with switchgear conductor termination cabinets.
C. Remove air handling unit E1AHU9A and demo piping back to E1AHU8A Tee
