San Antonio Hispanic Chamber Announces Co-chairs of Latina Leadership Institute Class 4

The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the Co-Chairs of the 2019 class of Latina Leadership Institute (LLI) are Michelle Martinez, owner of Martinez Communications, and Anamaria Suescun-Fast, Executive Vice President/ Chief Operating Officer of the DeBerry Group.

LLI is a non-partisan program founded by the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in 2015 to encourage more women to pursue elected-office positions as well as federal, state, and local appointment positions and boards/commissions.

Both Martinez and Suescun-Fast have vast civic engagement experience and have both participated in all three leadership programs sponsored by the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber: LLI, Leadership San Antonio, and the Alexander Briseño Leadership Development Program, additionally serving on steering committee and leadership positions throughout these programs.

Martinez has also served as a Texas ambassador for the Rotary International Group Study Exchange program to Australia and has served as a board member of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber, as well as the Girl Scouts Board Committee and the Witte Education Committee. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with an emphasis in public relations and a Master’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing and project management. Michelle was also named 40 under 40 by the San Antonio Business Journal in 2017.

Suescun-Fast has marketing degree from St. Mary’s University, and has led marketing campaigns on countless community issues, including Smoke-Free San Antonio, multiple San Antonio ISD Bond campaigns, and the marketing for the world-class, recently opened San Pedro Creek Culture Park. She has also served as a board member for the Texas Public Relations Association, TEAMability and has served on the Animal Services Community Advisory Committee and the Women & Girls Development Fund Committee with the San Antonio Area Foundation.
