Great things are happening at Hemisfair. Yanaguana Garden is thriving with the laughter of children at the playground and the commerce of local eateries and businesses. Soon, we’ll be breaking ground on Civic Park, which is set to be an inviting greenspace with prominent water features sidled next to shops, restaurants, residences and more.
Tower Park is the third and final phase of this great urban district. Located on the eastern side of Hemisfair near the Tower of the Americas, Tower Park will be of the same exceptional caliber as Yanaguana Garden and Civic Park. All three areas will complement one another and unite to form the reimagined district that is Hemisfair. But what will be found in Tower Park? That’s where you come in! We need your input to create a multi-functional urban park that attracts locals and is welcoming to all.

Hemisfair is proud to partner with Project for Public Spaces (PPS) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI) as we build the vision for Tower Park. But our most important partner is YOU. Please click to take a brief survey.
Project for Public Spaces (PPS) is a nonprofit planning, design, and educational organization dedicated to helping people create and sustain public spaces that build stronger communities through placemaking. According to PPS, “Placemaking inspires people to collectively reimagine and reinvent public spaces as the heart of every community. Strengthening the connection between people and the places they share, placemaking refers to a collaborative process by which we can shape our public realm in order to maximize shared value. More than just promoting better urban design, placemaking facilitates creative patterns of use, paying particular attention to the physical, cultural, and social identities that define a place and support its ongoing evolution.”
The Urban Land Institute (ULI) will conduct an Advisory Services Panel regarding Hemisfair’s final phase of the master plan, called the Eastern Zone. The Panel will provide expert, multidisciplinary advice on the complex land use and real estate issues related to realizing successful planning and development within the Eastern Zone. The Panel’s work will align with ULI and The Trust for Public Land’s “10 minute Walk Campaign” aimed at building healthy places. The Panel’s week-long process results in a presentation and report of their recommendations regarding project positioning, potential development impacts, core design criteria, and funding best practices. The Panel will present their findings and recommendations during a public presentation on Friday, May 3, 2019.
