The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has announced its newest addition to the staff. Gabriela De La Luz Rocha will join the team as the new Account Executive in the Membership Department. In her role, Gabriela will work to build new relationships with prospective future members of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber. She will also help educate new members on the resources and benefits that the Hispanic Chamber offers.
Originally from Brownsville, Gabriela moved to San Antonio in 1993. Gabriela studied in Brownsville at University of Texas Brownsville and is the youngest of 6 siblings.
Gabriela is no stranger to the Hispanic Chamber. She has been an active member of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for many years. She has served as a member of the Embajadores Committee, the volunteer ambassadors that donate their time to welcoming new and prospect members to the Hispanic Chamber. She has also served on the Hispanic Chamber’s Membership, Small Business, and Healthcare & Bioscience Committees. In her previous role, Gabriela worked for one of the non-profit members of the Hispanic Chamber: The Ferrari Kid. There, she took part in creating once in a lifetime events for children with critical illnesses.
Gabriela’s professional background is in employee worksite and health benefits and she has worked as a Benefit Counselor and an independent consultant for 14 years. This led her to become a Certified Wellness Coach with the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute. Gabriela is also a licensed Reiki Practitioner. Her primary passion is to enable and connect key relationships for overall wellness, including professional, physical, spiritual and emotional.
Gabriela’s family lives in Brownsville, where she visits on a regular basis. She is the mother of a beautiful and independent 20-year-old daughter who is currently attending college. In San Antonio, she is an active part of the Flamenco community as part of Raices De Arte Español, where she has participated for the last 15 years. Personal development is a personal passion of hers, which included attending the Tony Robbins latest seminar in Dallas, Unleash the Power Within, making her an official “Firewalker.”
