Earn up to $1,000 Financial Incentive to Individuals Interested in Energy Rater Certification for Existing Residential Properties
The City of San Antonio is providing a financial reimbursement program to individuals based in the CPS Energy service area who want to obtain a RESNET Home Energy Rater (HERS) or Home Energy Survey Professional certification or BPI Building Analyst or Envelope certifications.
Funding for this reimbursement program is being provided through the U.S Department of Energy and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and will be used to enhance the skills and certification levels of those working to improve residential energy consumption and conservation. Using a comprehensive whole-house approach, individuals learn the basics of building science and how to conduct home energy audits.
The reimbursement is based upon successful completion of training and certification (up to $1,000 for either RESNET or BPI certification) and will be provided for any individual who completes the training/testing and who receives certification. Individuals must be based in the CPS Energy service area to be eligible.
For additional information, contact Martha Henry at the City’s Office of Environmental Policy at 210-207-0264 or by email at Martha.Henry@sanantonio.gov.
