Cuba delegation visits San Antonio

Today, the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce had the honor of joining Precinct 3 Bexar County Commissioner, Kevin Wolff as he welcomed a delegation of Cuban dignitaries visiting San Antonio. The Hispanic Chamber’s CEO, Ramiro Cavazos, joined Commissioner Wolff as they both discussed their recent visits to Cuba with the dignitaries. 

Ambassador Yuri A. Gala López, who heads the U.S. – Cuba Bilateral Division in Havana led the visit to San Antonio and to the Hispanic Chamber. He was joined during his visit by Jesús Perz Calderón, the First Secretary of the Cuban Interest Section in Washington D.C.

Commissioner Wolff and Mr. Cavazos agreed to meet and visit the Interest Section in Washington D.C. during the first half of 2015. The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce conducted this year a trade mission to Havana under an approved special permit granted by the The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Department of the Treasury.
