Economists to share insights on 2012 economic climate

Hispanic Chamber hosts program aimed to helping businesses prepare for the coming year.

The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will host the 2012 Economic Forecast Breakfast on Thursday, January 12, 2012, at the Plaza Club located at 100 W. Houston, Suite 2100 (in the Frost Bank Building). The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. with registration followed by the breakfast program at 8:00 a.m.

The Economic Forecast will offer insights and predictions on the economic future of San Antonio and beyond. The event will present information from three speakers who will share comprehensive data on the latest local, state and national economic trends. In addition, the event will delve into discussions on demographic trends and how they relate to businesses across all industries.

This year’s presenters include Steve Nivin, Ph.D., Chief Economist for the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber and the SABÉR Research Institute; Keith Phillips, Ph.D., Senior Economist of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas-San Antonio Branch; and Maya Halebic, M.B.A., Senior Economist for the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber and SABÉR Research Institute.
