Hispanic Chamber Hosts Small Business Administration Regulatory Fairness Forum
Today, our local small business leaders met at the Hispanic Chamber’s Pearl offices with the U.S. Small Business Administration to hold a Regulatory Fairness Forum. The event was held to facilitate a dialogue on federal regulatory issues impacting small businesses and to highlight the range of resources available to small business owners from the SBA and the Office of the National Ombudsman.
SBA National Ombudsman Brian Castro hosted conversation with the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce along with small business owners and representatives of the small business community in the San Antonio, Texas area.
The National Ombudsman holds regulatory fairness hearings and forums across the country to give small business owners a means to comment on unfair enforcement actions, government audits, and excessive fines or regulations. The Ombudsman directs specific issues raised by participants to the appropriate Federal agency for a high-level fairness review, and works across government to address those concerns, reduce regulatory burdens, and help small businesses grow.
