The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has announced its newest addition to the staff. Magdalena Ortega will join the team as the new Account Executive in the Membership Department.
In her role, Ortega will work to build new relationships with prospective future members of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber. She will also help educate new members on the resources and benefits that the Hispanic Chamber offers.
Ortega attended St. Mary’s University and studied International Relations. She is passionate about small businesses and customer service. Prior to joining the Hispanic Chamber, Ortega served as the Special Projects Administrator and Account Executive for the Circo Hermanos Vazquez Company. She also served as the Public Relations Director for the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees Hockey Team.
“I am excited to begin this new opportunity with the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce because I understand what it takes to own a small business,” Ortega said. “My father owns and operates his own bakery and has worked its way up from a small business to a huge success. I greatly look forward to helping connect people to resources within the Hispanic Chamber that can help them grow their business!” she added.
Ortega was born in Houston, Texas and grew up in Monterrey, Mexico. She also spent her high school years in McAllen, Texas. She is the oldest of five children.
