Pape-Dawson Engineers promoted David Casanova, RPLS to Senior Vice President. Mr. Casanova leads Pape-Dawson’s surveying department, including more than 30 surveying crews and more than 40 office personnel across the state. His responsibilities also include technical oversight of the firm’s land surveying and geospatial services.
Mr. Casanova joined Pape-Dawson in 2007. His extensive experience and leadership skills come from a professional surveying career spanning over 40 years. He has served as principal-in-charge for projects including public schools and campuses, historic sites, water projects, and roadway/highway projects.
Mr. Casanova is a member of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors – Alamo Chapter – and the Rotary Club of San Antonio.

Mr. Casanova earned a Bachelor of Arts in Geography with a concentration in Cartography and Photogrammetry from Southwest Texas State University in 1983. He is a registered professional land surveyor in the state of Texas.
