Rick Cooke Appointed Child Advocates of San Antonio’s New CEO/President

Proud Hispanic Chamber Member, Child Advocates San Antonio (CASA), is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard “Rick” Cooke as CEO/President.

Rick brings to CASA a rich background of both non-profit and for-profit business expertise, specializing in sales, marketing, and business development. Earlier in his career he was an insurance agent and sales manager, later owning and operating a general insurance agency with a staff of twenty five agents. Following that, Rick directed the national marketing efforts for John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company’s 3,000 reps across the United States. 

During the last seven years, Rick has served in various positions within CASA organizations in New Hampshire and Collin County, Texas; this includes serving as an Advocate and an Advocate Supervisor. Most recently, he has been responsible for volunteer recruitment and training, as well as event planning, fundraising, and public relations.

Rick has served on the Board of Directors of Boys and Girls Club and the Athena Foundation, a national organization which recognizes outstanding women business leaders. He has also been a foster parent to 27 children.

Rick has an established passion for CASA and is dedicated to creating greater awareness for the organization and its mission. Rick had begun his responsibility of the CEO/President of Child Advocates San Antonio since November 30, 2012.
