Rebecca Q. Cedillo is the Interim President and CEO of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SAHCC) effective October 1, 2018. Cedillo currently is the President of Strategic Initiatives Consulting and the Business and Community Impact Officer at the University Health System (UHS). She recently served as the SAHCC’s Chairwoman in 2016.
Cedillo moved to the private sector to provide strategic consulting services after being the first Chief of Water Resources for the San Antonio Water System (SAWS). She began with SAWS as Vice President of Planning and prior was Director of the City of San Antonio Office of Water Resources. She also served as Director of Planning for the City of San Antonio.
Cedillo is a native of San Antonio and graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Master’s degree in City Planning and Public Policy and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and minor in Economics from St. Mary’s University graduating magna cum laude. She is also considered an innovator in Water Resources Planning with an expanse of experience of more than 25 years.
