Texas House Bill 29
Beginning September 1, 2019, Texas residents will no longer be required to go to a physician or healthcare provider when wanting to be treated by their Physical Therapists.
This news comes after Representative Ina Minjarez (D-San Antonio) passed HB 29 at the Texas Legislature. This bill delays treatment time and reduces originating costs that stem from the cost of the first doctor visit.
With the passing of this bill, Texas become the 49th state that allows this direct access.
