BROADWAY BANK ANNOUNCES PLANS TO BUILD NEW STATE-OF-THE-ART
FINANCIAL CENTER IN KERRVILLE
NEW LOCATION SHOWS A COMMITMENT TO DELIVER EXCEPTIONAL BANKING EXPERIENCES IN THE HILL COUNTRY
KERRVILLE, TEXAS, JUNE 14, 2019 —
Broadway Bank is excited to announce that it has signed a long term lease with real estate owners John and Brenda Miller to operate a new financial center at 620 Main Street in Kerrville. The new building will begin construction later in 2019, and will replace the bank’s current location at 500 Main Street.
The new facility will be optimized to assist residents and businesses in Kerrville with all of their financial needs in retail, commercial banking, mortgage lending, wealth management, treasury management and more. Its close proximity to the intersection of Highways 16 and 27, as well as Kerr County and Kerrville City offices, will make the new financial center convenient for all.
“We have a strategic priority to transform our financial center network, with the goal of eliminating unnecessary roadblocks for our customers,” said CEO David Bohne. “This upgrade in location will help us better serve an important market for Broadway Bank. We believe this new building—our first complete rebuild—will be a great benefit to residents and businesses in the area.”
Last year, Broadway Bank began a project to renovate its financial center infrastructure. It engaged one of the leading design firms in Texas with a goal to significantly augment the current branch network and meet evolving customer needs. While there are several renovations planned across the bank’s footprint—including just down the road in Leon Springs—Kerrville will be the first location to be completely rebuilt.
“We continually ask ourselves if we make it easy for our customers to bank with us,” said Chief Sales and Service Executive Karen Mawyer. “With this new location, the answer is a resounding ‘yes.’ Financial centers still play an important role in our customers’ financial needs, so we’re bringing the best one yet to Kerrville.”
Broadway Bank entered the Hill Country in 1996, when it purchased eight locations from another institution. It was the biggest expansion in the bank’s history, solidifying Broadway Bank as the largest independently-owned bank in the region. More importantly, it ensured a local bank would be providing financial services to the residents of Kerrville.
“There has been considerable local interest in what would eventually be constructed at this site” said John and Brenda Miller. “It’s important to us to make sure the location best serves the people of Kerrville and surrounding areas. After looking at Broadway Bank’s vision for the site, we believe we’ve accomplished our goal.”
The new location is scheduled to open in the spring of 2020. Until that time, the existing location at 500 Main. St. will continue to provide the best banking products and services in the Hill Country.
