2013 San Antonio STEM Week

For the fourth year in a row, the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will hold our Annual CORE4 STEM Expo. This event invites 2,500 middle school students in five at-risk School Districts in San Antonio to get them exposed to and excited about STEM careers through hands-on sessions conducted by STEM-related businesses and community leaders. While the Expo is open to all students, the Hispanic Chamber places an emphasis on exposing young Hispanic students to STEM careers, an area where they have been traditionally underrepresented.

Our event was originally launched in 2009 through a grant provided by the AT&T Foundation. This year, our event is made possible through a grant provided by the Toyota USA Foundation and the generous support of our dedicated sponsors.

Therefore, we are proud to declare the Week of November 10-16,  “SAN ANTONIO STEM WEEK,” where the entire community can host STEM events and activities to promote STEM Careers. We hope this annual tradition will become a San Antonio trademark week dedicated to getting our students excited about STEM careers.
