Johnny Garcia

Johnny Garcia is a Bexar County Sheriff’s Deputy and candidate for Congress in TX-35. Born and raised in San Antonio, Johnny worked construction and plumbing to put himself through community college. He joined the Bexar County Sheriff’s Department at 21 and has worked patrol, served on the SWAT hostage negotiation team, and as a Public Information Officer. Johnny is running for Congress to lower costs, make healthcare affordable, and clean up corruption in Washington.

Carlos De La Cruz

From humble beginnings, Carlos De La Cruz was raised by a single mother in South Texas, where he learned the value of hard work, faith, and service. Those lessons shaped the man he is today: a proud Air Force veteran, small businessman, husband, father, and conservative Texan with deep San Antonio roots.


Inspired by his grandfather’s Navy service, Carlos enlisted in the Air Force at just 17 years old, beginning a 20-year journey of service. He deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan after 9/11, served at Lackland Air Force Base, and deployed to the southern border to fight criminal cartels. After retiring from the Air Force, he and his wife built a successful San Antonio business, mentoring young people and cutting through government red tape to succeed.


Now, Carlos is stepping forward because he believes America needs more servant leaders and fewer corrupt politicians. He'll bring the discipline, integrity, and mission-first mindset he learned in the Air Force to Congress—fighting for working families, securing our border, standing with law enforcement and veterans, protecting parents' rights, unleashing American energy, and voting to ban members of Congress from trading stocks.


Carlos isn't running for a political career. He's running because he's not finished serving the country he loves. His mission remains the same: defend America's values, protect Texas families, and leave the next generation with a stronger, safer, and more prosperous nation.
