The CORE4 STEM Mission:

To stimulate students’ interest in the sciences and lead them to discoveries about their own potential in these areas and provides immersion in the excitement, surprise, and fun inherent in the sciences.

San Antonio is one of the nation's fastest-growing hubs for cybersecurity, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, healthcare innovation, and military technology, industries that rely on a strong STEM workforce. At the same time, nearly 64% of San Antonio's population is Hispanic, yet Hispanic talent remains underrepresented in many high-paying STEM careers nationwide. As our region continues to attract technology investment and expand opportunities in cybersecurity and engineering, developing a diverse local talent pipeline isn't just an educational priority—it's an economic necessity. By investing in STEM education today, we can prepare the next generation of innovators, strengthen our regional workforce, and ensure San Antonio's future growth is driven by the community it serves.

CORE4 STEM is helping build that pipeline by connecting young people with hands-on experiences, industry leaders, and career pathways that will shape the future of San Antonio's workforce.

At the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, we believe leadership means more than driving conversations, it means creating opportunities. We are proud to lead the dialogue around STEM education and workforce development while providing the exposure, connections, and experiences that inspire students to see themselves in tomorrow's careers.

"As San Antonio's economy diversifies to include more innovation and technology jobs, we must continue to expand STEM education opportunities so that local students are prepared to join our city's workforce and drive San Antonio's future growth and prosperity."

U.S. Congressman Joaquin Castro
