On Monday, June 1, 2026, a select group of San Antonio pet lovers will gather at The Dominion Country Club for an exceptional day of golf, connection, and purpose. It is a leadership opportunity to help prevent unnecessary euthanasia in our city by funding emergency medical treatment, neonatal care programs, and urgent shelter pulls for pets most at risk. Proceeds directly support San Antonio Pets Alive!, one of the region’s most respected animal welfare organizations and a driving force in advancing San Antonio toward true no-kill status. With broad community backing, including 87% of residents who support no-kill solutions, this work strengthens our city’s quality of life and reinforces San Antonio as a place where families, talent, and businesses choose to build their future.

12th Annual Aid the Silent 5K

Join us on Saturday, June 6 for the 12th Annual Aid the Silent 5K, a community run/walk dedicated to increasing access to communication for children and adults who are Deaf or hard of hearing. This unique, family‑friendly event is fully accessible and will feature live captioning and American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting throughout the event. The Aid the Silent 5K brings together runners, walkers, families, businesses, and advocates to support life‑changing services for individuals with hearing loss across Texas. Aid the Silent is a San Antonio–based nonprofit that serves children and teens who are deaf or hard of hearing by providing hearing aids, audiology services, assistive listening devices, sign language resources, speech therapy, advocacy, and community support. Funds raised through the 5K directly support these programs and help us continue to support families in need. The 5K is FREE for all Deaf and Hard of Hearing participants, and we welcome individuals of all fitness levels. The event also offers opportunities for local businesses to participate through sponsorships or vendor spaces, providing visibility while supporting a meaningful cause. The Boerne Main Plaza provides a beautiful and wide open space for attendees to spread out and enjoy the booths. We are proud to partner with the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and are happy to offer a special registration discount for SAHCC members. Members can receive $10 off registration by using the code SAHCC26 at checkout. This event is a great opportunity for Chamber members to support a local nonprofit while promoting health, inclusion, and community engagement. In addition to participants, we are also welcoming event‑day volunteers to assist with check‑in, water stations, set‑up, and cheering on runners. Volunteering is a meaningful way for individuals and businesses to give back, build team spirit, and support an often‑overlooked population. Your involvement helps ensure that individuals with hearing loss have access to the tools and resources they need to thrive.
