On Saturday, September 26, 2026, American Gateways is hosting a Free Citizenship Clinic at Palo Alto College to help long-term lawful permanent residents complete their U.S. citizenship applications. ​Our legal team, volunteer attorneys, and community partners will provide full naturalization support and resources—giving local families long-term stability and peace of mind. You can support this event in a few key ways: ​Spread the Word: Share clinic details with clients, colleagues, or community members eligible for naturalization. ​Table at the Event: Host an informational table to share your organization's resources with attendees. ​Sponsor: Sponsor breakfast, lunch, or refreshments for our applicants and volunteer team. The Viva Mexico Women’s Festival

The Viva Mexico Women’s Festival returns to Mission Marquee Plaza for its fourth annual celebration on Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 3–9 p.m. Centered around this year’s theme, VOCES PODEROSAS, the free community festival celebrates the women whose voices carry culture forward, tell our stories, and inspire the next generation. Presented by the Los Altos Mariachi Arts Council, the festival brings together powerful women in music, culture, and the arts for an afternoon and evening of celebration, connection, and community. Esperanza Rising

Esperanza Rising, written by Alvaro Saar Rios and directed by AnaLisa Leos, is adapted from Pam Muñoz Ryan's beloved novel. The story follows Esperanza, the pampered daughter of a wealthy Mexican landowner, whose life changes suddenly when she is forced to leave everything behind and start over as a migrant farmworker in the United States during the Great Depression. Through Esperanza's journey, the production explores family, resilience, identity, belonging, and finding hope in the face of profound change. Teatro Audaz presents Esperanza Rising December 16–22, 2026, with special performances including Education Night, Opening Night Reception, Teatro Pa' Todos, ASL Night, and a Sunday matinee.
