Presenter:

Kyle Joseph

Kyle Joseph is a Commercial Business Development Officer with Bank of America, covering the Austin, San Antonio, El Paso, and New Mexico markets. He brings a relationship-driven approach to banking, focused on delivering strategic financial solutions that help businesses grow, scale, and succeed over the long term.

 

Kyle joined Bank of America in 2016 as a Small Business Banker and was promoted to Small Business Banking Manager in 2022. In 2024, he advanced to the role of Senior Commercial Relationship Manager, where he continues to deepen client relationships and provide customized financial strategies tailored to each business’s unique needs.

 

Throughout his career at Bank of America, Kyle has been a consistent top performer, earning recognition at both the national and regional levels. His leadership and engagement are reflected through numerous honors and roles, including Valiant Award winner, Western Division Employee Engagement Council Member, National Sales Tools Champion, Austin Key Talent Member, Small Business Spotlight Champion, Small Business Banker New Hire Mentor, and Texas Region Mentorship Program Mentee.

 

Prior to joining Bank of America, Kyle spent eight years as a Branch Manager and Business Development Officer, serving businesses with annual revenues ranging from $5 million to $50 million. In this role, he specialized in complex credit structures and relationship-based banking, providing tailored financial guidance to support business growth and operational excellence.

 

Kyle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Abilene Christian University. He is married to his wife, Sophia, and together they have two children, Kylie and Kaden. Outside of work, Kyle is passionate about coaching youth sports and helping individuals reach their personal and professional goals a mindset that defines the way he builds trust, leads teams, and serves clients both inside and outside the bank.

Andrea Jennex, CPA

Andrea Jennex is a Transaction Advisory Services Manager in the Deal Services group at CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen LLP) based in San Antonio, Texas. She specializes in providing advisory services to private equity and privately held clients, focusing primarily on companies within the manufacturing, distribution, transportation, and logistics sectors that maintain both domestic and global operations.


Andrea possesses extensive technical experience in managing financial due diligence projects. Her core areas of expertise include conducting buy-side and sell-side quality of earnings, working capital analysis, and EBITDA analysis. She is highly skilled in project scoping, risk assessment, and identifying quantitative and qualitative transaction-specific risks, as well as assessing a target company's ability to produce financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Additionally, Andrea analyzes historical, projected, and pro forma financial measures to determine key transaction terms and valuations. Her expertise also extends to post-transaction services, including closing statements, opening balance sheets, and 805 Accounting, along with providing general assurance services.


Academically, Andrea holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northern Kentucky University and a Master of Business Administration with a minor in accounting from the University of Findlay. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in both Ohio and Texas. She is also professionally involved as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Austin/San Antonio Chapter of the Association of Corporate Growth (ACG).

Michael Wood

Michael joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 2002. As a leader of the NWG/VMT & Associates team within the Merrill Private Wealth Management Group, Michael works closely with nonprofits, endowments, businesses and ultra high net worth families to address a range of financial needs. Michael is attuned to the exacting requirements of institutional clients; he also understands the personal and professional priorities of affluent families. Within the team Michael helps institutional and individual clients manage their liabilities and address their liquidity needs. Michael is also skilled in streamlining the efforts of clients' external tax and legal advisors; he facilitates coordination and communication across entities to advance a cohesive and deliberate wealth management approach.



Michael began his career at Accenture where he performed business and strategy consulting. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and an M.B.A. in Finance from Rice University – Jesse H. Jones School of Management. Michael also holds a number of financial designations. He holds Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) and Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) professional designations and is a CFP® certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.


As an actively involved member in the community, Mike is past president of the Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas and currently serves as Co-Chair of the advisory board. He is also a current board member of The San Antonio Academy and a past board member of San Antonio Zoo.


Michael and his wife, Jodi, have two children, Michael and Payton.

Rick Escamilla

Rick is a Texas business attorney focused on providing buy-side and sell-side transaction counsel to privately held companies across a range of industries.



Prior to opening his law firm, Rick was an investment banker in New York advising publicly-traded healthcare companies on equity transactions and M&A. Rick has participated in raising over $8 billion dollars via IPOs and follow-on transactions along with participating in M&A transactions.
