Matthew joined USI Southwest in June 2022 as an Employee Benefits Consultant, leveraging his extensive 13-year background in employee benefits with a specialization in health and wellness. His expertise has been honed through years of dedicated service, including his tenure with a prominent supplemental carrier, where he ascended to the role of overseeing the Permian Basin area and catering to the needs of over 1800 companies.
Before transitioning to the insurance sector, Matthew garnered valuable experience in the oilfields of West Texas, where he served as an Operations Manager. This diverse background equips him with a unique perspective and skill set, enabling him to provide comprehensive solutions to clients' needs.
Originally hailing from Odessa, Texas, Matthew now calls San Antonio home, where he resides with his wife and six children. Outside of work, he finds joy in traveling with his family and wholeheartedly supports his children's various passions and endeavors.

Alex Streusand is a Workplace Benefits Specialist with more than 15 years of experience helping organizations and individuals navigate complex investment, retirement, and wealth management solutions. Since entering the financial industry in 2010, Alex has built a career working with some of the industry's most respected asset management firms, including Invesco, Franklin Templeton, and Capital Group, where he partnered with financial professionals and institutional clients to deliver investment strategies and client-focused solutions.
In 2026, Alex joined Bank of America Workplace Benefits as a Workplace Benefits Specialist, where he works with employers to enhance their employee benefits offerings through integrated workplace financial solutions. In his role, Alex helps organizations leverage retirement plans, financial wellness programs, employee banking solutions, health and benefit accounts, and investment resources designed to support employees' overall financial well-being. He partners with employers to create more engaging and personalized benefits experiences while helping simplify benefit administration and improve employee outcomes.
Drawing on extensive experience across asset management, retirement planning, and workplace benefits, Alex is passionate about helping employers and employees make informed financial decisions that build confidence, strengthen financial wellness, and support long-term financial success.
